Faculty and Staff
Holy Family School instills values in our children and educates the whole child while striving for excellence. We wouldn’t choose any other option!
-Sheri Gehring, 6th Grade Teacher
I am delighted to be the principal of Holy Family School. I have my Masters degree in Special Education from Eastern Washington University and am a Washington State Certified Principal. I received my principal’s credentials from Washington State University. I worked for Spokane Public Schools for 16 years. During that time, I taught 7th and 8th grade special education, Kindergarten, first grade, resource room and Integrated Kindergarten. I was a Principal’s Assistant at the elementary level. In the summer of 2015, I accepted the position of principal of Holy Family School and moved to Clarkston. The best part of Holy Family School is the family atmosphere. This is the perfect sized school which allows staff and students to know and care for one and other. I also enjoy celebrating religious holidays and being surrounded by others who share similar values and beliefs.
7th & 6th Grade
I have been teaching since 2000 and began my career working for the Spokane Diocese right after graduating from Lewis-Clark State College in 1999, where I received my Elementary Education degree. In 2002, I began at Holy Family School in Clarkston and have taught a variety of subjects for grades 3rd-7th. I am devoted to making our school move forward to tomorrow and truly enjoy working with the students. Family values and a Catholic education are important to my husband and I, which is why we have chosen Holy Family School for our own children’s education. The school instills Catholic values in our children, educates the whole child, and pushes them to excellence. We wouldn’t choose any other option!
I was born and raised in the Lewis-Clark Valley and fortunate to attend Holy Family School in my youth. I am passionate about our program and really enjoy our friendly atmosphere and supportive staff. I have been teaching for 10 years and hold a Professional Teaching Certification in Washington State. When I’m not teaching I enjoy spending time with my wife and two great kids, Claire and Adam, who make our life a continuous adventure.
I am married with 3 children (all girls!) I earned my degree in Elementary Education from the University of Idaho (go Vandals!). I worked as a substitute teacher for several years and worked as a Title I Assistant in the Clarkston School District before joining Holy Family School . In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family; camping, boating and playing board games are my favorite! I am excited to join the Holy Family School team!
I am married with two children and a dog. I am a graduate of Portland State University with a Masters in Elementary and Special Education. My hobbies are spending time with family, reading, bike rides and walking the dog. I enjoy reading mysteries, religious and humorous books. I am an alumnus of Holy Family School. I love the community and family feel of HFS. I believe sharing and learning about faith combined with our strong academic programs make our school amazing.
When I started at HFS I taught 2nd grade and soon moved to kindergarten. Yes, I taught kindergarten for many years until 2008 when I went into 1st grade, which I love very much. There is so much love for learning, friendships and enthusiasm each day. Our family has history with HFS over the years. Besides numerous aunts/uncles/cousins who attended HFS, my husband Mike is also a graduate. So, it was the only consideration for our children Jon and Stephanie. After graduating from Clarkston High School, I ventured to Washington State University and became a Coug. There I found Early Childhood Education graduating in 1980. In the fall of 1982 began my teaching career at Holy Family School.
I have been teaching at Holy Family School since 2013, where I am constantly kept on my toes by my eager learners! I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Lewis-Clark State College in 2007. I am a graduate of Holy Family, and am honored to be part of this great group of educators. I love working here, where we excel at educating the whole child, not limiting teachings to just the pages on a book. This school is a close knit family and I am lucky to be a part of it. When I’m not in the classroom, I like to spend my free time reading a good book, or out playing disc golf with my husband and dog. And when it warms up, we all enjoy a lazy float down the river.
I received my AA degree from Walla Walla Community College and am currently finishing my bachelors degree in education at Lewis-Clark State College where I will graduate in May 2019. I am an alumni of Holy Family School and have a passion for working with children. I am excited to be part of the staff here at HFS. In my spare time I enjoy going to the mountains, fishing, and being outdoors with my husband and my daughter, Ellie.
I was born and raised in the Lewis-Clark valley. I graduated from Clarkston High School in 2019 and continued my education at Walla Walla Community College and earned 2 state stackable certificates in Early Childhood Education. Working with children is my favorite thing in the whole entire world and I’m so thankful to be apart of Holy Family School!
I was born and raised in the Lewis-Clark Valley and now live in Juliaetta, Idaho with my husband, our son and two dogs. I received my AA degree from Lewis-Clark State College and I’m working on finishing my Bachelors degree in elementary education. Working with children is my passion and I'm very excited to join the team here at Holy Family School!
I love working with the students and teachers at Holy Family! I'm a Lewiston native who graduated from the music education program at the University of Idaho. In 2019, I returned to the LCV after spending eight years teaching and raising three kids in Northern Virginia and Eugene, Oregon. My specialties are elementary music, collaborative piano, and directing choirs. I have also had the opportunity to play flute and saxophone in school & community bands, performed in over 20 local musical theater productions, directed children's theater, and taught ukulele classes. I enjoyed performing with opening acts for Hot August Nights when I was younger, and I like to compose and arrange music when I can find the time. My most recent passion project was a choir I started in Eugene that performed an annual Easter oratorio and was invited to perform as part of a "mega-choir" for Garth Brooks' concert in Autzen Stadium. I enjoy spending time with my family laughing, traveling, and celebrating our successes at local restaurants.
