April 23rd School News

  • Holy Family Catholic School’s first day of school for the 2020-2021 school year will be August 26th. We will have an official calendar for you soon.
  • Our Annual Fun Run will be rescheduled for September or early October.
  • Every Wednesday is a Spirit Day thanks to our wonderful Student Council. This coming Wednesday (April 29) will be Favorite Treat/Candy Day! Examples- favorite color of Skittle, ice-cream cone, etc. Be sure to send your photo to your classroom teacher.
  • We encourage all of our families to continue participating in Sunday worship
  • Our first prize pick up date for the 100 Mile Club is May 1st from 1-2pm. Mrs. Gehring needs all updates by this Sunday (April 26th)  Here are guidelines for the 100 Mile Club (Typical 1 mile: Bike 3.5 min/mile, Run 10 min/mile, Walk 15 min/mile) SGehring@holyfamilyclarkston.com Here is our 100 Mile Club leaders from each class:

    • 5th Grade- Claire L.

  • We have a new Auction date! Escape to the Tropics Annual Auction will be June 13th!
    • Teachers are beginning to work on class projects and need funds to purchase items. With the exception of Kindergarten (they are donating through Carol), each student will have $15 added to their FACTS account in May. If your family is unable to donate at this time, please contact Amy Ohlson at aohlson@holyfamilyclarkston.com and she will not add this donation to your families account.
    • We are in need of auction items! Please email Amy O. at aohlson@holyfamilyclarkston.com with the item description and approximate worth.
    • The auction is our school’s most important fundraiser. Please mark your calendar and invite your family and friends.
  • We are raffling off a new 2020 Yamaha Viking. Please continue to sell tickets. The winner will be drawn at our auction on June 13th. For additional raffle tickets email Amy Ohlson aohlson@holyfamilyclarkston.com. Several families have had success selling to family and friends through social media and using Venmo accounts. The families are collecting the money and then writing the school a check or bringing in cash.
